About The Master’s Closet

Demonstrating the love of God and how the kingdom of God functions by meeting the needs of others.

Our primary mission is to show and demonstrate the love of God and how the kingdom of God functions by meeting the needs of others.

Our team motto is, “If you needed it in your house, then someone will need it in their house.”

We have been operating in this capacity since 2008 in the panhandle of West Virginia from our home church of Hedgesville Church. Since that time, we have received donations and distributed those donations to people in the following states:

We will be expanding the ministry to international destinations in the near future. These are to include but not limited to:

The various ways in which we show God’s love is by the free collection and distribution of items freely to those that are in need of the following:

We also provide the basics of everyday living. For instance, silverware, glasses, plates, kitchen tables, sofas, recliners, beds, sheets & comforters, and televisions.

We do not require anyone to meet any prior criteria for the request, we do not withhold collection / distribution based on any race, creed, sexual orientation, or any other social prejudices, and we do not discriminate in the items that are received (unless they are perceived as overtly sexual or demonic in nature). We simply ask that they are in working order and/or have been gently used.

Recently, we networked with our local Macy’s distribution center that has supplied us with brand new, name brand furniture for us to giveaway. From August 2016 through November 2016 we have received and distributed over $800,000 in brand new furniture from this distribution center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. They have also indicated that we could be receiving 2-53’ tractor trailers each weekend throughout the remainder of 2016, 2017 and into 2018!!

We have connections with various other churches, community organizations, and government agencies that have referred our ministry to their clients as a source of supply in their time of need. We have several health care professionals that help with personal hygiene and healthy living so those that ask can improve their overall health and well-being. We have a great group of volunteers who give of their time and talents liberally without asking for anything in return.

Our church holds an annual “Great Give Away” day where all items that are in storage and previously not reserved for others are put out and available for the general public to take free of charge.

In the near future, we hope to offer classes to those that ask for help in the areas of financial education, relationship building, computer training, typing, and how to use life skills in order to advance in today’s complex society.

All of these items, no matter how big or small, have and will always be provided free of charge because… “…freely you have received, freely give.”
